UPDATED: Arrest made in Montgomery Village shooting of woman

She was seriously injured, police said

Montgomery County police said Thursday that someone has been arrested who they think shot a woman in the Montgomery Village area on Thursday.

Police wrote on Twitter Thursday that at 10:17 a.m., that they got a call for what they think is a domestic-related shooting in the 19400 block of Sandy Lake Drive.

Police wrote that the woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

In a later tweet, police wrote that someone was in custody who they think shot the woman, but police did not identify the person or say if any charges had been filed. They did not provide any other information about what happened.
