Police say North Bethesda man was pedestrian fatally struck by driver

Crash happened near man’s home on Grosvenor Lane

Montgomery County police have identified a man who was fatally struck by a driver in North Bethesda early Friday morning.

James Eugene White Jr., 74, of the 10200 block of Grosvenor Place in North Bethesda, was trying to cross Rockville Pike from Grosvenor Lane around 5 a.m. on Friday, police said in a press release.

Keisha Dannielle Francis, 51, of Baltimore, was driving north in a Nissan Sentra.

The Sentra struck White Jr., who died at the scene, police said.

Francis was not injured and has not been charged in the crash.

County police are still investigating Friday’s crash and are asking anyone with information to call them at 240-773-6620.
