Montgomery County police are investigating a report that a man inappropriately touched a woman near the Chevy Chase Terrace neighborhood just south of Bethesda.

The man was walking south on the sidewalk along Wisconsin Avenue, or Md. 355, on Sept. 26 around 10:45 a.m. A woman who was walking north told police that the man inappropriately touched her. The woman screamed at the man to get away, and he continued walking, police said in a press release on Tuesday.

The incident happened near the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Langdrum Lane, between Bethesda and Friendship Heights, according to police.

The man is described as having dark mid-length shorts and a light-colored shirt. Police released a computer-generated sketch based on the victim’s description of the man.

Police said there have been additional reports of inappropriate touching by a man in the area. It was not clear whether the same man was involved.

Anyone with information is asked to call the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6710 or Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 866-411-8477.
