Montgomery County police have identified a man killed early Tuesday morning after a truck and a car crashed in the Shady Grove area.

Police wrote in a press release Tuesday evening that 41-year-old Bernard Mawuli Kledo of Germantown was driving a Freightliner commercial truck east on Shady Grove Road around 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

Juan David Rodriguez, 24, of Laurel, driving a Toyota Solara, was turning left from Metro Access Road onto Shady Grove Road, police said. The Solara and the Freightliner crashed on Shady Grove Road.

Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Kledo was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said. He has not been charged in the crash.

Police posted brief details about the crash Tuesday morning, but did not identify either driver or provide any additional information.

They are asking anyone with information to call them at 240-773-6620.
