Police Blotter: Three Vehicle Thefts in Bethesda; Four in Silver Spring

Crimes reported to Montgomery County police Oct. 27 through Nov. 9

Thefts from vehicles

Money and property from four vehicles were taken between Oct. 28 and Nov. 2. Affected streets included Avon Drive, Troy Road, Old Georgetown Road and Cushing Drive.

Money and property were taken from multiple vehicles between Oct. 20 and Nov. 9. Affected streets included Colston Drive, East West Highway, Connecticut Avenue, Leonard Drive and Winnett Road. Force was reported in three cases.

Money was taken from a vehicle in the 4500 block of North Chelsea Lane between 10 p.m. Nov. 7 and 7 a.m. Nov. 8.

Property was taken from a vehicle in the 9300 block of West Parkhill Drive between 5:30 p.m. Nov. 3 and 6:35 a.m. Nov. 4. Force was reported.

Money and property were taken from two vehicles between Oct. 31 and Nov. 7. One theft occurred in the 11400 block of Schuylkill Road and the other occurred in the 11000 block of Waycroft Way.

Money and property were taken from two vehicles between 7 p.m. Nov. 5 and 8:15 a.m. Nov. 6. One theft occurred in the 5900 block of Cranston Road and the other occurred in the 6000 block of Cobalt Road.

Property was taken from two vehicles between Nov. 6 and 8. One theft occurred in the 5800 block of Conway Road and the other occurred in the 5900 block of Anniston Road.

Property was taken from three vehicles between Oct. 31 and Nov. 4. Affected streets included Lakeview Drive, Bethesda Avenue and Rockledge Drive.

Vehicle thefts

A vehicle was taken in the 2300 block of Colston Drive between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 7 and 9 a.m. Nov. 8. The key was reported to have been left inside. The vehicle was recovered the next day.

A vehicle was taken in the 4700 block of Chelsea Lane between 10 p.m. Nov. 7 and 8 a.m. Nov. 8. A door was reported to have been left unlocked and the keys were used to steal the vehicle.

A vehicle was taken in the 5900 block of Gloster Road between 11:30 p.m. Nov. 5 and 7:30 a.m. Nov. 6. The vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked.

Residential burglaries

Property was taken from a home in the 2400 block of Lyttonsville Road between 12:43 and 9:40 p.m. Nov. 1. A door was reported to have been left unlocked.

Property was taken from a home in the 4900 block of St. Elmo Avenue between 5:30 p.m. Oct. 25 and 8:50 a.m. Oct. 28.

Property was taken from a home in the 9600 block of Dewitt Drive early on Nov. 2. Forced entry was reported.

Property was taken in the 6000 block of Anniston Road between 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Oct. 31. Forced entry was reported.

Strong-arm robbery

Property was taken from a woman near 2nd and Spring streets around 6:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

Rockville

Thefts from vehicles

Money and property were taken from two vehicles in the 11700 block of Coldstream Drive between 2:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and 1:42 p.m. Oct. 27.

Property was taken from a vehicle in the 12200 block of Rockville Pike between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 9. Force was reported.

Property was taken from two vehicles in the 12800 through 13000 blocks of Meadow View Drive between Oct. 28 and Nov. 7.Vehicle thefts

Thefts from vehicles

Money, property and vehicle parts were taken from multiple vehicles between Oct. 27 and Nov. 2. Affected streets included Cameron Street, Cedar Street, Fidler Lane, Eastern Avenue, Silver Spring Avenue, Deerfield Avenue, East West Highway, Wayne Avenue and Ripley Street. Force was reported in two cases.

Money and property were taken from three vehicles between Oct. 26 and 28. Affected streets included Cloverfield Road, Saybrook Avenue and Mayfair Place.

Money and property were taken from two vehicles in the 500 block of East Indian Spring Drive between 6 p.m. Oct. 30 and 7:50 a.m. Oct. 31.

Money and property were taken from multiple vehicles between Oct. 22 and Nov. 2. Affected streets included Greenock Road, Markham Street, Lynnmoor Drive, Mount Pisgah Road, Finale Terrace, Greenwich Wood Drive and Columbia Pike. Force was reported in three cases.

Property and vehicle parts were taken from multiple vehicles between Oct. 24 and Nov. 2. Affected streets included Tech Road, Chathlake Lane, Chichester Lane, Nora Drive, July Drive and Old Columbia Pike. Force was reported in three cases.

Property and vehicle parts were taken from multiple vehicles between Oct. 28 and 31. Affected streets included Castle Boulevard, Saddle Creek Drive, Mozart Drive and Aston Manor Drive. Force was reported in multiple cases.

Money and property were taken from multiple vehicles between Oct. 27 and Nov. 9. Affected streets included Eastern Avenue, Georgia Avenue, East West Highway, Ripley Street, Colesville Road, Boston Avenue and Blair Mill Road. Force was reported in four cases.

Money, property and vehicle parts were taken from multiple vehicles between Oct. 27 and Nov. 9. Affected streets included Cloverfield Place, Manchester Road, Walden Road, Colesville Road, Melbourne Avenue, Belvedere Place, Lansdowne Way and Tilton Drive. Force was reported in multiple cases.

Property and vehicle parts were taken from four vehicles between Nov. 5 and 8. Affected streets included East Wayne Avenue, East Franklin Avenue, Quebec Street and Plymouth Street. Force was reported in three cases.

Vehicle thefts

Two vehicles were taken from a home in the 500 block of Bonifant Street between 9 p.m. Oct. 30 and 7:18 a.m. Oct. 31. Both vehicles were reported to have the key left inside. One vehicle was recovered Oct. 31.

A vehicle was taken in the area of Evergreen Street and East Franklin Avenue between 9 p.m. Oct. 22 and 6:15 p.m. Oct. 28.

Armed robbery

Two men and two boys took money and property from a man in the 11400 block of Lockwood Drive around 1:52 p.m. Oct. 30. One of the robbers displayed a weapon. The suspected robbers were arrested.

Strong-arm robbery

Two teenage boys took money from a woman in the 8700 block of Georgia Avenue around 1:20 p.m. on Nov. 1. The boys were arrested.

Residential burglaries

Property was taken from a home in the 9100 block of Georgia Avenue between 9 a.m. Oct. 13 and 6:29 a.m. Oct. 27. Forced entry was reported.

Property was taken from a home in the 2100 block of Fairland Road around 11:59 p.m. Nov. 1. Forced entry was reported.

Property was taken from a home in the 2900 block of Marlow Farm Terrace Oct. 29. Forced entry was reported.

Vehicle thefts

A vehicle was taken in the 13800 block of Outlet Drive around 8:02 p.m. Nov. 3. The vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked with the key in the ignition.

A vehicle was taken in area of Cedar Tree Drive and Pine Top Lane between 11:30 p.m. Nov. 4 and 11:30 a.m. Nov. 5.

A vehicle was taken in the 13800 block of Outlet Drive around 8:02 p.m. Nov. 5. The vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked with the engine running. It was recovered Nov. 8.

A vehicle was taken in the 14000 block of Castle Boulevard between 9:45 p.m. Nov. 8 and 1:40 p.m. Nov. 9. The victim reported losing their keys. The vehicle was recovered Nov. 9.
