Police Blotter: Three Commercial Burglaries in Bethesda; Three Vehicle Thefts in Silver Spring
Crimes reported to Montgomery County police from Sept. 22 through 28
Thefts from vehicles
Money and property were taken from two vehicles between Sept. 22 and 24. One theft occurred in the 4500 block of Cheltenham Drive and the other was in the 6600 block of Hillandale Road.
Money was taken from two vehicles on the 3400 and 3500 blocks of Kent Street between Sept. 20 and 27.
Vehicle parts were taken from three vehicles in the 10100 and 10200 blocks of Grosvenor Place between Sept. 22 and 26. Force was reported.
Property was taken from three vehicles between 7:30 a.m. Sept. 23 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 24. Two thefts occurred in the 7400 block of Westlake Terrace and the other was in the 7100 block of Democracy Boulevard.
Property was taken from two vehicles between Sept. 21 and 27. One theft occurred in the 9300 block of Rapley Preserve Drive, and the other was in the 10200 block of River Road.
Four boys, ages 14 to 16, from Rockville, took property from another boy on Sept. 24 at 11:26 a.m. near Creek Shore Drive and Patapsco Drive. The four boys were arrested.
Property was taken from Rill Architects at 4833 Rugby Ave between 4 p.m. Sept. 20 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 23. Forced entry was reported.
Money and property were taken from Solutions Electronics at 4827 Rugby Ave. between 5 p.m. Sept. 20 and 8 a.m. Sept. 23. Forced entry was reported.
Property was taken from a construction site at 4900 Strathmore Ave. between 4 p.m. Sept. 19 and 7 a.m. Sept. 23. Forced entry was reported.
Property was taken from the garage of a home in the 5000 block of Baltimore Avenue and two vehicles in the garage between 6 p.m. Sept. 23 and 7:15 a.m. Sept. 24. The garage door and both vehicles were left unlocked.
Property was taken from a home on the first block of Piney Meetinghouse Court between 5 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Sept. 27. Forced entry was reported.
Thefts from vehicles
Property was taken from a vehicle in the 5700 block of Wicomico Avenue between 4 p.m. Sept. 20 and 7 a.m. Sept. 23. Force was reported.
A vehicle was taken from the 2400 block of Stratton Drive between 11 p.m. Sept. 27 and 8 a.m. Sept. 28. The vehicle was unlocked with the key inside. It was recovered Oct. 1.
Thefts from vehicles
Money, property and vehicle parts were taken from multiple vehicles from Sept. 22 through 28. Affected streets include Richmond Avenue, Easley Street, Gist Avenue, East West Highway, Hartford Avenue, Silver Spring Avenue and Georgia Avenue. Force was reported in several cases.

Money and property were taken from multiple vehicles between Sept. 23 and 28. Affected streets included Cottrell Terrace, Elton Road, Oak Leaf Drive and Naglee Road. Force was reported in multiple cases.
Money and property were taken from multiple vehicles between Sept. 23 and 27. Affected streets included Featherwood Street, Old Columbia Pike, Antler Court, Stewart Lane, Nora Drive, Frank Drive and Treetop View Court. Force was reported in multiple cases.
A vehicle was taken in the 100 block of Sunnyside Road between 8 p.m. Sept. 22 and 6:10 a.m. Sept. 23. The vehicle was left unlocked. It was recovered Sept. 23.
A vehicle was taken in the 8700 block of Georgia Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Entry is unknown.
A motorcycle was taken in the 1100 block of West Nolcrest Drive between 2 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sept. 23.
Two people took money and property from two men in the 7800 block of Eastern Avenue around 9:29 p.m. Sept. 26. One of the robbers displayed a weapon.
Two teens took property from a boy in the 900 block of Ellsworth Drive around 11:50 p.m. Sept. 28. One of the robbers displayed a weapon. The two teens were arrested.
Two boys, ages 16 and 18, of Silver Spring, took property from a boy near Northampton Drive and Beacon Road around 3:04 p.m. Sept. 24. The two boys were arrested.
