Rockville area

Thefts from vehicles

  • Money was taken from four vehicles between 5:55 a.m. on Nov. 3 and 1 p.m. on Nov. 4. Affected streets included St. James Road, Cold Spring Road and Stream Wood Lane.

Vehicle thefts

  • A vehicle was taken in the 12300 block of Wilkins Avenue between 5 p.m. on Oct. 30 and 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 2.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 700 block of East Gude Drive between 8 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 10 a.m. on Nov. 7.

Bethesda area

Thefts from vehicles

  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 3900 block of Washington Street between 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 and 4 p.m. on Nov. 4.
  • Money and property were taken from multiple vehicles between Nov. 1 and 7. Affected streets included Mayfair Manor Drive, Nebel Street, Stillwater Avenue, Jolly Way, Bangor Drive, Clermont Avenue, Montrose Avenue and Kenilworth Avenue.
  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 5100 block of Cammack Drive between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 6.
  • Two people took property from multiple vehicles between Nov. 1 and 7. Affected streets included Arrowood Road, Arrowood Court, Arrowood Terrace, Whitley Park Terrace and Pooks Hill Road.
  • Property was taken from two vehicles between Oct. 26 and Nov. 4. The thefts happened in the 10500 block of Westlake Drive and the 11100 block of Luxmanor Road.
  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 10000 block of Oaklyn Drive between 10 and 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 6. Force was reported.

Vehicle theft

  • A vehicle was taken in the 4800 block of Cordell Avenue between noon and 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 4.

Silver Spring area

Thefts from vehicles

  • Money, property and parts were taken from multiple vehicles between Oct. 31 and Nov. 6. Affected streets included Wayne Avenue, Bonifant Street, Thayer Avenue, Blair Mill Way and 16th Street. Force was reported.
  • Money and property were taken from four vehicles between Oct. 31 and Nov. 2. Affected streets included Domer Avenue, Barron Street, Pickwick Village Way and Carroll Avenue. Force was reported in three cases.
  • Money, property and parts were taken from multiple vehicles between Nov. 1 and 6. Affected streets included Columbia Pike, Forest Glen Road, Lexington Drive, Stirling Road, Dennis Avenue and St. Camillus Drive. Force was reported in four cases.
  • Money, property and parts were taken from three vehicles between Nov. 3 and 7. Affected streets included Lockwood Drive, Springbrook Drive and Sherbrook Drive. Force was reported in one case.
  • Parts were taken from two vehicles between Nov. 3 and 7. The thefts happened in the 13400 block of Shady Knoll Drive and the 4000 block of Wood Swallow Court. Force was reported.

Vehicle thefts

  • A vehicle was taken in the 1200 block of East West Highway between 8 p.m. on Nov. 1 and 7:45 a.m. on Nov. 2.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 8400 block of 16th Street between 5 p.m. on Nov. 3 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 4.
  • A vehicle was taken in the area of Buckley Drive and Brantford Avenue between 7 p.m. on Nov. 5 and 2:38 p.m. on Nov. 6.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 14000 block of Castle Boulevard between Oct. 30 and Nov. 2. The vehicle was recovered on Nov. 8.

Armed robbery

  • Two people took money from a man in the 1000 block of Ruatan Street around 9 a.m. on Nov. 7. One of the robbers displayed a weapon.
  • Three people took merchandise from Bestway at 8540 Piney Branch Road around 10:20 a.m. on Nov. 7. One of the robbers displayed a weapon when the store owner tried to stop them.

Aggravated assault

  • A person assaulted someone in the 14900 block of Old Columbia Pike around 11:13 a.m. on Nov. 2. The attacker displayed a weapon.

Commercial burglaries

  • Property was taken from a storage unit at Extra Space Storage at 7722 Fenton St. between 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 21 and 11:04 a.m. on Nov. 7. Force was reported.
  • Money was taken from the Fairland Market at 13318 Old Columbia Pike around 6:10 a.m. on Nov. 1. Force was reported.
  • Money was taken from Briggs Chaney Deli at 13832 Outlet Drive early on Nov. 3. Force was reported.
  • Property was taken from Don Ramon Restaurant at 13816 Old Columbia Pike early on Nov. 3. Force was reported.
  • Money was taken from Global Food Market at 13814 Outlet Drive early on Nov. 3. Force was reported.
  • Money was taken from Karen’s Seafood at 13843 Outlet Drive on Nov. 3.
