Police Blotter: Seven vehicle thefts reported in Silver Spring area

Bethesda area (including North Bethesda, Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac, Kensington)

Thefts from vehicles

  • Property and parts were taken from two vehicles between 6 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 2 p.m. on Nov. 16. The thefts happened in the 2300 block of Colston Drive and the 2200 block of Washington Avenue. Force was reported.
  • Property was taken from two vehicles between Nov. 13 and 18. The thefts happened in the 7600 block of Woodmont Avenue and the 7300 block of Maple Avenue. Force was reported in one case.
  • A part was taken from a vehicle in the 3300 block of University Boulevard West between 2 p.m. on Nov. 12 and noon on Nov. 17. Force was reported.
  • A part was taken from a vehicle in the 4800 block of Langdrum Lane between 4 p.m. on Nov. 18 and 12:45 p.m. on Nov. 19. Force was reported.
  • Money and property were taken from three vehicles between Nov. 15 and 17. Affected streets included Charlcote Road, Maple Ridge Road and Bradley Boulevard.

Vehicle thefts

  • A vehicle was taken in the 1900 block of East West Highway between 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 19. It was recovered on Nov. 20.
  • A vehicle was taken in the area of Banneker and Grand Park avenues between 3 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 3 a.m. on Nov. 18.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 5900 block of Bradley Boulevard between 3 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 17. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked with a key fob inside. It was recovered the same day.

Commercial burglary

  • Merchandise was taken from an Exxon gas station at 7975 Old Georgetown Road around 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 14. Force was reported.

Commercial robberies

  • Someone took property from a woman when she was shopping at Comfort One Shoes at 7920 Norfolk Ave. between 12:30 and 3 p.m. on Nov. 18.
  • Someone took property from a woman when she was shopping at Whole Foods at 4420 Willard Ave. around 3 p.m. on Nov. 18.

Rockville area (including Rockville, North Potomac, Darnestown, Poolesville)

Thefts from vehicles

  • Parts were taken from four vehicles in the 12300 block of Parklawn Drive between 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 and 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 12. Force was reported.
  • Money and property were taken from a vehicle in the 15200 block of Display Court early on Nov. 20.

Vehicle thefts

  • Four all-terrain vehicles were taken from a barn in the 16400 block of Darnestown Road between 6 p.m. on Nov. 14 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 15. Force was reported.

Aggravated assault

  • An aggravated assaulted happened in the 13000 block of Twinbrook Parkway around 8:20 a.m. on Nov. 16. The attacker displayed a weapon and was later arrested.

Silver Spring area (including Silver Spring, Fairland, Burtonsville)

Thefts from vehicles

  • Money, property and parts were taken from multiple vehicles between Nov. 14 and 20. Affected streets included East West Highway, Georgia Avenue, Spring Street, Kennett Street and Draper Lane. Force was reported in multiple cases.
  • Money, property and a part were taken from two vehicles between Nov. 10 and 15. The thefts happened in the 9200 block of Three Oaks Drive and the 9400 block of Garwood Street. Force was reported in one case.
  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 8700 block of Geren Road between 1 p.m. on Nov. 13 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 14. Force was reported.
  • Parts were taken from two vehicles between 10 p.m. on Nov. 16 and 10 a.m. on Nov. 17. The thefts happened in the 9600 block of Cottrell Terrace and the 9800 block of Carhart Place. Force was reported.
  • Property and parts were taken from two vehicles between Nov. 16 and 19. The thefts happened in the area of Sandy Point Court and Calverton Boulevard, and the 12300 block of La Plata Street. Force was reported in one case.
  • Property was taken from two vehicles between Nov. 11 and 16. The thefts happened in the 13900 block of Castle Boulevard and the 3600 block of Childress Terrace. Force was reported in one case.

Vehicle thefts

  • A vehicle was taken in the 8500 block of Fenton Street between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 16. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked and running. It was recovered the same day.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 8700 block of Georgia Avenue around 10:50 p.m. on Nov. 16. It was reportedly left unlocked and running.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 11200 block of New Hampshire Avenue between 11:12 a.m. and 12:12 p.m. on Nov. 17.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 3500 block of Sheffield Manor Terrace between 7 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 3:43 a.m. on Nov. 16. Force was reported. The vehicle was recovered on Nov. 16.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 13800 block of Outlet Drive between 6 and 6:35 p.m. on Nov. 17. It was reportedly left unlocked with a key in the ignition.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 13800 block of Castle boulevard around 7:15 a.m. on Nov. 19. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked and running. It was recovered the same day.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 9500 block of Georgia Avenue around 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 14. It was reportedly left unlocked and running.

Commercial armed robbery

  • Two people took money and merchandise in the 9200 block of New Hampshire Avenue early on Nov. 14. One of the robbers displayed a weapon.

Aggravated assault

  • Someone assaulted a woman in the 11200 block of Oak Lea Drive around 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 14.
  • Someone assaulted a man and took his property in the area of Ramsey and Wayne avenues around 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 16.

Strong-arm robbery

  • Three people assaulted a man and took his money and property in the area of Forest Glen Road and Georgia Avenue around noon on Nov. 14.

Gaithersburg area (including Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village)

Thefts from vehicles

  • Property and a part were taken from two vehicles between Nov. 16 and 19. The thefts happened in the 17100 block of Queen Victoria Court and the 9800 block of Mahogany Drive. Force was reported in one case.
  • Money and property were taken from a vehicle in the 7800 block of Epsilon Drive between 11 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 7:15 a.m. on Nov. 18.
  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 19000 block of Mills Choice Road between 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 10 and 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 12.

Vehicle thefts

  • A vehicle was taken in the 15900 block of Shady Grove Road around 7 p.m. on Nov. 14. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked and running. It was recovered the next day.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 20100 block of Arrowhead Road between 1 and 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 18. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked with a key inside. It was recovered on Nov. 22.
