Police Blotter: Burglaries reported at liquor store, construction site in Bethesda area

Crimes reported to Montgomery County police between Oct. 31 and Nov. 6

Thefts from vehicles

  • A part was taken from a vehicle in the 3500 block of Hamlet Place between 9 a.m. on Nov. 1 and 3 p.m. on Nov. 2. Force was reported.
  • Property and a part were taken from two vehicles between Oct. 24 and Nov. 5. The thefts happened in the 6800 block of Wisconsin Avenue and the 4200 block of Leland Street. Force was reported in one case.
  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 4200 block of Howard Avenue between 8 p.m. on Oct. 31 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 1. Force was reported.
  • Money and property were taken from two vehicles in the 10300 block of Strathmore Hall Street between 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 and 6:30 a.m. on Nov. 4.
  • Property and a part were taken from two vehicles between Oct. 21 and Nov. 4. The thefts happened in the 5300 block of Westport Road and the 6700 block of Hillandale Road. Force was reported in one case.
  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 6400 block of Rock Spring Drive between 6:40 and 10 p.m. on Nov. 5. Force was reported.
  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 9000 block of Bradley Boulevard between noon and 1 p.m. on Oct. 31.

Vehicle theft

  • A vehicle was taken in the 10300 block of Strathmore Hall Street between 2 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Oct. 31. A key was reportedly left inside.

Commercial burglaries

  • Two people took merchandise from Cork 57 Beer & Wine at 4910 Bethesda Ave. early on Nov. 3. Force was reported.
  • Property was taken from a construction site in the 11200 block of Old Georgetown Road between 10:52 and 11:03 p.m. on Oct. 31. Force was reported.
  • A utility trailer theft happened in the 6700 block of Rockledge Drive between 3 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 6:30 a.m. on Nov. 5.

Rockville area (including Rockville, North Potomac, Darnestown, Poolesville)

Theft from vehicle

  • A part was taken from a vehicle in the 15100 block of Seneca Road between 9 a.m. on Oct. 25 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 4. Force was reported.

Silver Spring area (including Silver Spring, Fairland, Burtonsville)

Thefts from vehicles

  • Money and property were taken from three vehicles between Nov. 3 and 5. Affected streets included Deerfield Avenue, Cedar Street and Blair Mill Way.
  • Money and property were taken from four vehicles between 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 5. Affected streets included Brunswick Avenue, Loma Street, Insley Street and Duvawn Place.
  • Property and parts were taken from four vehicles between Oct. 16 and Nov. 4. Affected streets included Avenel Road, Hampshire West Court and Columbia Pike. Force was reported in three cases.
  • Money, property and parts were taken from multiple vehicles between Oct. 31 and Nov. 6. Affected streets included Gracefield Road, O’Fallon Street, Heather Hollow Circle, Lockwood Drive and Cliftondale Drive. Force was reported in three cases.
  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 3100 block of Automobile Boulevard between 8 a.m. on Nov. 1 and 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 3.

Vehicle thefts

  • A vehicle was taken in the 7900 block of Georgia Avenue early on Oct. 31. It was reportedly left unlocked and running. The vehicle was recovered on Nov. 4.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 600 block of Silver Spring Avenue between 5:45 and 6:30 a.m. on Nov. 2. It was reportedly left unlocked and running.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 100 block of Croydon Court between 3 p.m. on Nov. 2 and 11 a.m. on Nov. 3.
  • A vehicle was taken in the area of Tech Road and Old Columbia Pike between 7 and 8 p.m. on Nov. 2.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 1500 block of Heather Hollow Circle early on Nov. 2. The victim reported dropping the key. The vehicle was recovered the same day.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 13800 block of Outlet Drive around noon on Nov. 1. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked and running. It was recovered on Nov. 6.
  • A motorcycle was taken in the 3300 block of Teagarden Circle early on Nov. 6. It was recovered two days later.

Commercial burglaries

  • Money was taken from Art Kilo Market & Restaurant at 818 Easley St. around 5:45 a.m. on Oct. 29. Force was reported.
  • Money was taken from NOAA News & Valet at 1327 East West Highway between 1 p.m. on Nov. 1 and 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 2. Force was reported.
  • Property was taken from Rose’s Beer & Wine at 961 Bonifant St. early on Nov. 3. Force was reported.

Armed robberies

  • Two people assaulted a woman and took her property in the 8000 block of 13th Street around 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 5. One of the attackers displayed a weapon.
  • Someone took money from a woman and displayed a weapon in the 8500 block of Georgia Avenue around 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 3.

Strong-arm robbery

  • Two people assaulted a man and took his money and property in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue around 12:57 p.m. on Nov. 6.

Gaithersburg area (including Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village)

Thefts from vehicles

  • Money, property and a part were taken from two vehicles between Sept. 28 and Nov. 3. The thefts occurred in the 9900 block of Walker House Road and the 18500 block of Boysenberry Drive. Force was reported in one case.
  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 7600 block of Creekstone Court between 4 p.m. on Nov. 1 and 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 2.

Vehicle thefts

  • A vehicle was taken in the 17100 block of Queen Victoria Court early on Nov. 4. It was reportedly left unlocked and running.
  • Two people stole a vehicle in the area of Centerway Road and Montgomery Village Avenue early on Oct. 31. It was reportedly left unlocked and running. The thieves reportedly assaulted the vehicle’s owner.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 9900 block of Walker House Road between 9 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. on Nov. 1. A key was reportedly left inside. The vehicle was recovered the same day.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 18200 block of Lost Knife Circle around 7 p.m. on Nov. 1. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked with a key in the ignition. It was recovered the same day.
  • Two people stole a vehicle in the 9500 block of Treyford Terrace around 6:40 p.m. on Nov. 5. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked and running.
  • A motorcycle was taken in the 19100 block of Mills Choice Road between 1:45 p.m. on Nov. 2 and 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 3. It was recovered the same day.
