A pedestrian struck by a car in North Bethesda on Saturday died from her injuries Tuesday evening, police said on Wednesday.

Police on Wednesday identified the victim as Jennifer Christine Dimauro, 31, of North Bethesda, in an update about the investigation.

County police officers and fire and rescue personnel responded to a report of a crash at the intersection of Tuckerman Lane and Kings Riding Way at around 10:09 a.m. on Saturday, police said.

Dimauro was crossing Tuckerman Lane when she was struck by a 2015 Chevrolet Spark heading east on the two-lane road. The intersection leads into the Tuckerman Station condominium complex.

Chase Lawrence Dobler, 27, of Rockville was driving the Spark, police said.

Dimauro was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, then died Tuesday night.

Dobler was not injured in the crash. No charges had been filed against him as of Wednesday afternoon.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.

Dimauro is the seventh pedestrian killed after being struck by a vehicle in the county this year. Pedestrian crashes were up 14% through June 2019.
