Updated at 1:16 p.m.  Wednesday: Montgomery County detectives are investigating a home invasion and burglary Saturday night in Darnestown, in which one man and a juvenile male were found bound and the man was suffering from a laceration to the head, Montgomery County police confirmed Wednesday.

A woman and a juvenile female were on the property at the time of the invasion as well,  police spokesman Officer Rick Goodale said.

Goodale could not confirm whether the four victims were family members or owners of the home in the 14600 block of Seneca Road.

Goodale said county police responded to the home at 9:27 p.m. for an incident in which property was reportedly stolen.

A police official familiar with the incident report describes four possible “masked suspects” as the perpetrators involved in the alleged incident, but Goodale could not confirm this information.

“Detectives are still working to determine if the suspects are known to the victim,” Goodale said.

A media press release has not been issued on the incident.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story indicated one of the victims may have received a gunshot wound to the head. This story has been updated to include verification from a Montgomery County police spokesman that none of the victims involved in the incident were shot and that no gunshots were fired during the incident.
