Motorcyclist killed in crash with sport-utility vehicle in North Bethesda, officials say

A man was killed when his motorcycle and a sport-utility vehicle crashed Friday morning in North Bethesda, Montgomery County officials said.

The crash occurred around 10 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Nebel Street and Nicholson Lane, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Battalion Chief Jason Blake told Bethesda Beat.

The victim was taken to Suburban Hospital with injuries considered life threatening, Blake said.

Police posted on Twitter that the victim was later pronounced dead. The other driver was not injured and stayed at the scene, according to police.

Police did not identify the victim or provide additional information. Portions of Nicholson Lane and Nebel Street were closed following the crash.
