Updated: Police Investigating Homicide in Germantown

Body found in the 12500 block of Milestone Center Drive

Montgomery County police are investigating the death of a man in Germantown that occurred Sunday night as a homicide.

According to police, officers responded to a call of an injured person around 6:20 p.m. Sunday near the Extended Stay America hotel on Milestone Center Drive.

When they arrived, they found a man’s body in the 12500 block of Milestone Center Drive, in the field behind the hotel.

The victim, according to a press release, had “signs of trauma to the upper body.” The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore to determine the cause of his death.

The victim’s identity had not been released as of 2:30 p.m. Monday because his family hadn’t been notified.

Police did not indicate in the press release whether they know who might have killed the man. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Major Crimes division at 240-773-5070 or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS for a possible reward of up to $10,000.
