A Florida man was arrested and charged with first-degree murder for allegedly shooting a man to death on Friday afternoon in Aspen Hill.

At about 4:35 p.m., police responded to an emergency call near the intersection of Baileys Lane and Baileys Court and found a man who had been shot in the upper body. He died at the scene, according to police.

Fifty-eight-year-old Gary Savage, of Tampa, Florida, was allegedly at the scene, “completely unclothed,” Montgomery County police wrote in a press release Saturday afternoon. A gun was found at the scene, the press release said. Savage was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Savage will appear in court for a bond review hearing on Tuesday afternoon in Rockville.

The victim has not been identified by police. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday to “determine cause and manner of death,” according to police.

Attorney information for Savage was not available in online court records as of Saturday afternoon.

No additional information was immediately available.
