UPDATED: Man’s death at Germantown apartment considered homicide

Body showed signs of trauma, police said

The death of a man at an apartment in Germantown is being investigated as a homicide, Montgomery County police said Tuesday.

Police said in a press release that Russell Troy Huffman, 38, was found dead on Monday in his apartment in the 20000 block of Frederick Road. Huffman had trauma on his upper body.

Montgomery County 911 received a call around 4:54 p.m. about a man who was not breathing inside an apartment in the 20000 block of Frederick Road.

Huffman’s body was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore for an autopsy.

The Germantown death investigation was the third that police said they were conducting on Monday.

Police were also investigating a body found in Rockville in the afternoon and a woman who was fatally shot early Monday in a Clarksburg home.
