Man assaulted, robbed in Gaithersburg apartment

Police said attack happened this month

Montgomery County police said a man was attacked and robbed in his Gaithersburg apartment this month.

Police got a call at 11:43 p.m. on Feb. 13 for a report of a home invasion in the 400 block of North Summit Ave., police said in a press release on Monday.

Police said they think a male went into the apartment through a sliding glass door in the basement, then assaulted the victim and stole property. The man was treated for his injuries at the scene, police said.

Police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation, and said anyone with information should call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.
