A fire significantly damaged a two-story, single-family house in North Bethesda on Wednesday, according to a Fire & Rescue official.

Fire & Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer posted on Twitter Wednesday afternoon that a large fire had damaged a home in the 11600 block of Danville Drive near Cushman Road. Everyone evacuated and there were no injuries, he wrote.

Four adults and two children were displaced.

Photos of the home showed that much of the roof had been destroyed and parts of the exterior were black.

Piringer told Bethesda Beat that firefighters are still investigating the cause and don’t yet know the full extent of the damage.

The house is in a neighborhood near Luxmanor Elementary School.
