Two buses crashed at Metro stations in Montgomery County Wednesday morning.

A tour bus crashed near railroad tracks adjacent to the Shady Grove station, trapping the driver.

The other crash happened when a passenger bus struck another vehicle near the Rockville Metro station, injuring several passengers.

Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer said the crash at Shady Grove happened when a tour bus with no passengers was on a road that loops around the parking garage and went off the road, through the brush and into the right-of-way of the CSX tracks.

The tour bus driver, a woman, was rescued by Fire & Rescue crews and taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, Piringer said.

The other crash happened on Church Street in Rockville when a passenger bus truck what Piringer thinks was a construction vehicle.

Several passengers were taken to hospitals, but no one was seriously hurt, Piringer said. He did not have additional details about the crash.
