Driver, passenger killed in Clarksburg crash

Police said Jeep went off road, rolled over ‘several times’

The driver and a passenger in a Jeep were killed after the vehicle went off the road in Clarksburg and rolled over on Saturday evening, Montgomery County police said.

Dylan Bansi, 20, of Germantown was driving a 2013 Jeep Wrangler south on Ridge Road near Morning Star Drive around 11:43 p.m. Saturday. Police said in a press release on Sunday that the Jeep went off the road and rolled over “several times.”

Bansi was taken to the hospital and later died of his injuries.

Marryann Hardesty, 18, of Germantown, who was riding with Bansi in the Jeep, died at the scene, police said.

The area where the crash occurred is in northern Montgomery County, near the Courts of Clarksburg residential community.

Police asked anyone with information to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
