Crash seriously injures pedestrian in Germantown grocery parking lot

Her injuries are considered life-threatening

A woman was seriously injured Wednesday when she was struck by a vehicle in a parking lot in Germantown, according to Montgomery County police.

A woman was hit around 5:45 p.m. in a parking lot in the 20900 block of Frederick Road, according to police. She was taken to a hospital with injuries considered life-threatening.

The driver stayed at the scene, police said.

According to Fire & Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer, the crash happened in the parking lot of a Giant grocery store near the intersection with Ridge Road.
