Montgomery County police have asked for the public’s help in solving an armed carjacking that happened on Saturday in Silver Spring.

Police said in a press release Wednesday that around 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, two males confronted a man who was making deliveries for Amazon in the 8600 block of Cedar Street.

Both males were wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks, and both had handguns.

Police said one robber took the man’s car keys and stole his silver Chevrolet Malibu. The other robber drove away in a gray vehicle, which both had ridden to the scene.

Police said they later recovered the Malibu in Washington, D.C., with no one in it. They are asking for anyone with information to call them at 240-773-5100.
