A Rockville woman says her aunt and uncle are among those missing after a condo collapse in Surfside, Fla.

Bettina Obias said her relatives, Maria and Claudio Bonnefoy, lived on the 10th floor of the Champlain Towers building that came down Thursday at about 1:30 a.m. [WJLA]

Minimum wage rising on July 1 in Montgomery County

Minimum wage will rise again in Montgomery County on July 1 as part of a multi-year plan to get the minimum to $15 per hour countywide, a goal that the county is expected to reach next year.

Starting July 1, large employers will be required to pay all employees at least $15 per hour, medium employers will pay $14, and small employers will pay $13.50. [Patch]

Leggett: Lock Hogan, Elrich in room to get toll lanes compromise

Former Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett said it’s time for the leading combatants in the debate over the proposed widening of interstates 270 and 495 to end their public bickering and cut a deal.

Leggett said of County Executive Marc B. Elrich and Gov. Lawrence J. Hogan Jr., “I would take them both, put them in a room, and throw away the keys, and say, ‘You’re not coming out of here until you resolve this.'” [Maryland Matters]
