More children at-risk of malnourishment during pandemic, group says

The coronavirus pandemic has had the unexpected consequence of threatening the immune systems of more children, according to a relief organization that aims to combat malnutrition with vitamins for children and mothers in need.

Nutritional inequity was a serious issue prior to COVID-19, but the pandemic has increased the number of people who struggle to meet their dietary needs in the United States. [WTOP]

Test clinics offered in Montgomery County this week

Test clinics offered in Montgomery County this week include:

• Monday, noon to 6 p.m.: Silver Spring Civic Building, 1 Veterans Place
Appointment online recommended, but not required.

• Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater, 603 Edmonston Drive, Rockville
No appointment needed.
