A Rockville police officer and member of the Maryland National Guard has been charged with possession of child pornography, law enforcement officials said.

Emmaleigh Pierce, 6, of Derwood, spent her Saturday collecting nearly 500 pounds of food to feed hungry children her age.

Goucher poll shows vaccination hesitancy in Md.

One year into the pandemic, some Marylanders are still hesitant to get a COVID-19 vaccine shot, according to a survey released Monday.

The latest Goucher College poll found that 64% of Marylanders plan to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as they can or have received at least one dose, but 15% want to wait to see if the vaccine is working before signing up. [Maryland Matters]
