Post reporter recalls attitudes of misogyny were common at Landon School
A Washington Post reporter who attended Landon School, right down the road from the all-boys prep school where Brett Kavanaugh was a student, describes the “misogynistic culture” that pervaded the school. Few female teachers were employed at Landon, and the students tended to “terrorize” the women who did work there. “The reason I can recall only the names of my male teachers from that period is because the women usually didn’t stay long,” he wrote. Montgomery County gets $4M in roads finding from state
Gov. Larry Hogan has awarded Montgomery County $4 million for local roadways. Altogether, the administration doled out $57 million for improving roads in the state’s 23 counties and the city of Baltimore. Hogan said in a statement that he’s been committed to increasing the funding that goes to counties and municipalities for maintaining and upgrading their roads. [Montgomery Community Media]

Saul Centers buys downtown Bethesda office building
A locally-based company has acquired a roughly 70,000-square-foot office building in downtown Bethesda. Saul Centers, based in Bethesda, bought the building fromChevy Chase Land Co. for $35.5 million. The five-story building at 7316 Wisconsin Ave. is leased to 10 tenants. [Commercial Observer]
