Developer JBG will host a public meeting next month to discuss plans for a new mixed-use building at the site of its 4733 Bethesda Avenue office building near Bethesda Row.

The Chevy Chase-based developer will propose a 242,000-square-foot office building with 13,000 square feet of ground floor retail and restaurant space to replace the existing eight-floor office building on the spot.

Attorney Patricia Harris, from Bethesda-based firmed Lerch, Early & Brewer, is identified as the lead contact for more information on the meeting — set for 7 p.m. on Dec. 15 at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center (4805 Edgemoor Lane).

According to signage at the property, the required community meeting will also include information on JBG’s plans for the 7200 Wisconsin Avenue office building next door.

The company is going before the county Planning Board next week seeking changes for the 12-story office building, including an outdoor seating area for a future restaurant and a new gym for building tenants.
