Montgomery Firefighters Return to Scenes of Recent Fires To Educate Residents

Montgomery firefighters return to scenes of recent fires to educate residents

Montgomery County firefighters on Monday returned to the scenes of two recent fires in Chevy Chase and North Potomac to answer neighborhood residents’ questions about fire safety.

They also provided safety information, including about home safety checks of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms. [WDVM]

Inmate convicted of rape found with phone

Dustin Rogers, a convicted rapist who attacked a woman leaving the Shady Grove Metro Station last year, was recently found in his jail cell with an assortment of contraband, including a smartphone.

Jail officials also found clothes, hair care products, Versace glasses and “intimate notes,” according to court records. [WJLA]

Elrich to host online chat

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will host an online chat on Thursday.

Residents can submit comments or questions for him to answer online. The chat will run from 2 to 3 p.m. [Montgomery County].
