Maroulis falls in wrestling semifinals at Olympics

Novavax will sell 200 million COVID-19 vaccine doses to Europe

Gaithersburg-based Novavax has struck a deal to sell as many as 200 million doses of its still-unapproved COVID-19 vaccine to the European Commission for an undisclosed sum.

The agreement covers the purchase of up to 100 million doses of the vaccine with the option for an additional 100 million doses through 2023. [WTOP]

Libraries end telephone renewals and notifications

Library patrons can no longer renew books or receive library notifications over the phone.

The service ended Monday, and libraries are asking people who used to rely on the telephone service to sign up for email or text notifications. [Patch]
