According to the Maryland Department of Health, 38.1% of the people who used a COVID-19 mass vaccination site in Hagerstown are from Montgomery County.

Funk selected by L.A. Rams in NFL draft

The Los Angeles Rams selected Gaithersburg native Jake Funk, a running back from the University of Maryland, in the seventh round of the NFL draft on Saturday.

Retired captain teaches ‘Black Police Experience’

Retired Montgomery County police Capt. Sonia Pruitt teaches history through an organization she founded called ‘The Black Police Experience.”

Pruitt is the first Black woman police officer in Montgomery County to achieve the rank of captain. [WTOP]
