Man shot in arm by police leads officers on chase that ends in Silver Spring

A man led police on a chase after being shot in the arm by an officer in Northwest D.C. early Wednesday, police said.

He drove away and was pursued by U.S. Park Police officers, hitting two vehicles before stopping at Georgia Avenue and Colesville Road in Silver Spring. [NBC 4]

The city of Takoma Park is continuing its mask mandate, even though Montgomery County is dropping its mandate.

Voters cite economy, jobs as top concerns for gubernatorial race

A new Goucher College poll of 631 Maryland voters found the economy/jobs as top concerns for the 2022 gubernatorial race, as cited by 28% of respondents.

Other concerns were health care (14%), racial/social justice issues (13%) and taxes (12%). [Goucher College]
