Person, dog seriously injured in crash

One person and one dog were seriously injured in a crash in Bethesda on Monday evening.

The person was taken to a hospital. The dog was taken to a veterinary hospital in the Friendship Heights area.

The crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. on MacArthur Boulevard. [Washington Post]

Silver Spring restaurant employee charged with attempted murder

Chuan Liu, 42, has been charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, and first-degree assault after allegedly attacking the owner of the Red Maple Asian Cuisine and Bar in Silver Spring.

Liu is accused of stabbing the male owner during an argument. [WDVM]
