Former Gaithersburg city manager named Poolesville town manager

Former Gaithersburg City Manager Tony Tomasello is coming out of retirement to take a job in Poolesville.

Tomasello will be Poolesville’s town manager effective Aug. 30, according to a release from the town. [Montgomery Community Media]

Silver Spring, Takoma Park get new public art murals

Silver Spring and Takoma Park each have a new temporary piece of public art created by local artists.

The art was commissioned by the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County through its Public Arts Trust program, #ArtHappensHere. [Source of the Spring]

Silver Spring property sells for $90.5M

The Warwick Apartments, a 398-unit Silver Spring apartment building, has sold for $90.5 million.

Rockville-based investor The Donaldson Group has acquired the building at 1131 University Blvd. West in a joint venture with a fund managed by New York City-based DRA Advisors. [Washington Business Journal]
