Fire station wants D.C. emergency calls agreement to end

Since 1947, the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad has helped D.C. respond to medical emergencies in neighborhoods near the Maryland border.

Now, the longtime chief of the fire station is recommending ending that special agreement. [WTOP]

Ride On Flex on-demand service to return 

Ride On Flex, an on-demand transit service piloted in 2019 into early 2020, will return on Monday.

Flex operates in zones in Rockville and Glenmont/Wheaton. [Montgomery County]

Hogan reinstates COVID-19 emergency order

Gov. Larry Hogan has reinstated the COVID-19 emergency order after previously lifting it on July 1.

The proclamation from Hogan explained a need for an emergency order to continue recovery from the pandemic. [Montgomery Community Media]
