Drunken driver who killed police officer getting out of prison early

A man who was driving drunk when he struck and killed a Montgomery County police officer is being released early from prison after earning good-behavior credit.

Luis Gustavo Reluzco was sentenced in 2016 to 10 years in prison for killing Officer Noah Leotta during a police DUI enforcement effort. [NBC 4]

Company hits milestone in development of ‘HIV functional cure’

American Gene Technologies, a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in Rockville, has taken another step forward in finding a cure for HIV.

It announced the first participant of the Phase 1 clinical trial has been infused with the company’s cell and gene therapy product, AGT103-T. [WJLA]

Milt Peterson, legendary developer, dies

Milt Peterson, the legendary Greater Washington developer behind the likes of Fair Lakes, Burke Centre, National Harbor and downtown Silver Spring, has died at age 85.

The founder of the Peterson Cos. died Wednesday morning of natural causes at his home, a spokeswoman for the Fair Lakes-based real estate company said. [Washington Business Journal]
