Police say man drove onto FDA headquarters in Silver Spring

Police said a man was arrested after he drove dangerously around the Food and Drug Administration headquarters in Silver Spring early Sunday.

Montgomery County police said officers were called to the FDA headquarters at 10903 New Hampshire Ave. around 2:30 a.m. after an unauthorized car drove onto the grounds and swerved onto a sidewalk.

Kane to become Maryland Chamber of Commerce president

The Maryland Chamber of Commerce has turned to well-known Maryland political figure Mary Kane to be its new leader.

Kane has been a political candidate in Maryland, running to be lieutenant governor on a ticket headed by Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. in 2010, for a legislative seat in 2002, and for a Montgomery County Council seat in a 2000 special election. [Maryland Matters]
