Comment period extended after group flags errors on highway project

Federal and state officials overseeing a controversial highway project in Montgomery County extended a public comment period after an environmental group flagged multiple errors in a legally mandated study.

Instead of ending on Nov. 15, the public will have until Nov. 30 to submit comments on the project. [Maryland Matters]

TwinLabs in Rockville fills up with four new tenants

The first phase of TwinLabs, a life sciences complex in Rockville, has been fully pre-leased, with four companies taking the entire 25,000 square feet of space, according to JLL, which is handling leasing for the property.

A joint venture between Bethesda-based GlenLine Investments and Singerman Real Estate of Chicago is redeveloping two buildings adjacent to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases HQ into Class A lab space, after making major capital improvements. [Commercial Observer]

State Board of Education will discuss school mask mandate

On Tuesday, the Maryland State Board of Education will hold a virtual meeting to reevaluate the emergency statewide school mask mandate enacted at the beginning of the school year.

Board members will hear from the Maryland Department of Health, parents, students, state organizations and national experts about their thoughts on the mask mandate, according to the agenda. [Maryland Matters]
