Chevy Chase woman wins $50K lottery prize for the third time

A retired housekeeper from Chevy Chase has won $50,000 from a scratch-off Lottery ticket for the third time. The first two were in 2018.

Montgomery County hires coordinator for White Flint proposal

Montgomery County officials have a vision for the area surrounding the White Flint Metro station — a “life sciences hub” that exploits the presence of the close-by National Institutes of Health and Food and Drug Administration.

County Executive Marc Elrich has hired Tom Lewis, who was chief of staff to former Maryland House Speakers Michael E. Busch (D-Anne Arundel) and Casper R. Taylor Jr. (D-Allegany), to the newly created position of development ombudsman. [Maryland Matters]

Seibel’s Restaurant closes after 82 years

For more than eight decades, Seibel’s, a roadside restaurant in Burtonsville, was a popular destination for diners.
