Andrés to appear on Michelle Obama’s upcoming kids cooking show

Celebrity chef, humanitarian and Bethesda resident José Andrés announced on Twitter that he’ll be appearing on Michelle Obama’s upcoming children’s cooking show on Netflix.

County hosts virtual climate youth town hall

A virtual panel was held Thursday evening with local high school and college students to discuss Montgomery County’s Climate Action Plan.

The county’s Climate Action Plan was first drafted in December 2020 and includes over 80 recommendations regarding clean energy, transportation, carbon emissions and more. [WDVM]

Fight over Law Enforcement Officers’ Bill of Rights in Maryland

Lawmakers in Maryland are considering repealing a bill that has come to be the model for states across the country for police officers’ rights.

The union says it’s about due process for officers, but supporters of getting rid of it say that for too long, it’s prevented accountability. [Fox 5]
