Friday Night Live Summer Concert Series—Friday night—Rockville Town Square

Come to the Rockville Town Square on Friday to hear the roots, rock and zydeco band The Crawdaddies perform. The show runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Performances will continue every Friday through September.

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown—Friday through Sunday— Imagination Stage, Bethesda

Don’t miss your chance to see the Charles M. Schulz comic strip characters of the lovable “Peanuts” gang comic brought to life as Imagination Stage presents You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown through Aug. 12. The show is best suited for ages 5 and up. Tickets are from $12 to $30.

Tinker Bell’s Fairy FestivalSunday Glen Echo Park

As part of the summer production of Tinker Bell, Glen Echo Park’s Adventure Theatre presents Tinker Bell’s Fairy Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. In addition to attending the show, kids can enjoy an afternoon of face painting, crafts and costumes and have a photo taken with Tinker Bell. Tickets are $75 each. Tinker Bell tells the tale of Peter Pan’s story from the feisty fairy’s point of view with all of the  characters of Neverland, including Wendy, the Lost Boys, Peter Pan, Smee and the nefarious Hook. The show runs through Aug. 19. Tickets are $19.50.

Snow Show—Saturday—The Puppet Co. Playhouse, Glen Echo Park

The Puppet Co. Playhouse is featuring a puppet performance of Tiny Tots: Snow Show at 10 a.m. Aug. 4. The performance is suited for ages 2 to 4 years old. Tickets are $6.

Snow White & The Seven Dwarves—Friday through Sunday—The Puppet Co. Playhouse at Glen Echo Park

The Puppet Co. Playhouse is featuring Snow White & The Seven Dwarves at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. from Friday through Sunday. The 40-minute show is recommended for ages 4 and older.

Rio Summer Concert Series—Friday through Sunday nights—Gaithersburg

Enjoy live music from 6 to 9 p.m. on the Rio Patio, near the paddle boats and Union Jack’s, in RIO Washingtonian. First Class, a Motown band, plays Friday night and country band Mason Dixon plays Saturday night. The Dunns River Band, a country rock band, will perform from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Little Women—Friday and Saturday—The Arts Barn at Kentlands, Gaithersburg

Arts on the Green at the Kentland’s Arts Barn presents Little Women, a musical based on Louisa May Alcott’s life during the Civil War era. The musical follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they come of age in Civil War America. Th show is recommended for ages 12 and up. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Friday and 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $22 for general admission; $18 for students ages 15 to 21 with valid ID; and $12 for age 14 and under.

An Irish twist on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream—Friday through Sunday—Randolph Road Theatre, Silver Spring

Enjoy An Irish twist on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with live Irish music, dance and  poetry presented by the Quotidian Theatre Co. at the Randolph Road Theatre in Silver Spring. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Ticket prices range from $15 to $35. The show runs through Aug. 12.

Cars 3—Friday Night—Casey Community Center, Gaithersburg

Come enjoy a family-friendly screening of Cars 3 at the Casey Community Center, 810 South Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg. Pre-movie games and activities start at 6:15 p.m. Showtime is at 7 p.m. Admission is $5. Light concessions will be available.

DCLA Silent Headphone Party—Friday night—The Fillmore, Silver Spring

Head to The Fillmore on Friday night for the DCLA Silent Headphone Party:  East vs. West vs. Dirty South. Doors open at 7:30 and the show starts at 8:30 p.m. Admission is open to those 18 and older. Headphones are included with ticket purchase.
