Friday Night Live—Friday night—Rockville Town Square
Rockville Town Square’s weekly Friday Night Live series will feature pop rock music from Matt Hutchinson and the Big Gin at 6 p.m. The series continues through September.
Bethesda Magazine Restaurant Week—Friday through Sunday
Nearly 30 Bethesda-area restaurants are offering lunch and dinner deals for Bethesda Magazine Restaurant Week. The pre fixe menus are available through Sunday. La Ferme, Kapnos Kouzina and Mon Ami Gabi are among the participating restaurants. Diners can Instagram their restaurant week meals and use the hash tag #BMagRW for a chance to win a gift card from participating restaurants.

Local Brews Local Grooves—Friday night—Fillmore Silver Spring
Adults 21 and older can enjoy beer tastings, pizza and local music at the Fillmore this Friday night. Denizens, Jailbreak and Hysteria will be serving. The event begins at 7 p.m., with early entry at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $5.
Silver Spring Jerk & Barbecue Festival—Sunday—Silver Spring Civic Center
Fans of Jamaican cuisine will flock to the Silver Spring Civic Center Sunday at 1 p.m. The event is free and open to all ages. Food is available for purchase.
H.M.S Pinafore—Saturday and Sunday—Olney Theater Center
Chicago theater company The Hypocrites is performing W.S Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore. In this adaptation, the sailors wear pajamas and the audience is invited up on stage. The Saturday performances are at 1:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.; the Sunday matinee at 1:45 p.m. is the final performance. The show is 75 minutes. Tickets start at $30.
Succulent Terrarium Planting Workshop—Saturday—Modern Market, Bethesda Row

Ambrosia—Saturday night—Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club
Grammy-nominated band Ambrosia is playing at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club Saturday night at 8 p.m. The band was founded in southern California, and toured with Fleetwood Mac and the Doobie Brothers. Their 1978 hit “How Much I Feel” peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. Tickets range from $45 to $59.
