In various promotions, the ABC television network released more information this week about the contestants competing in the upcoming season of “The Bachelorette,” including details about Joey Jones, a 33-year-old finance manager from Bethesda.

The cast list, previously limited to photos, names and places of residence, was originally released in March.

Jones’ cast biography posted on mentions travels to Australia and Hong Kong. The contestant’s “priority now is looking for a life partner to settle down and have children with,” according to the bio. “He is excited to be married, have a house with a pool in the backyard and a couple of kids running around.”

In a YouTube live stream Tuesday in which Bachelor franchise host Chris Harrison introduced the contestants for the 15th season of “The Bachelorette,” Harrison said “Joey definitely comes out with baby on the brain on night one.”

Harrison also said Jones “has kind of a Jersey Shore vibe,” likely alluding to a notorious MTV series that aired between 2009 and 2012.

The show promotions come ahead of the Monday night premiere starring Hannah Brown, a 24-year-old woman crowned Miss Alabama in 2018. Brown competed in last season’s “The Bachelor” for Colton Underwood.

Jones grew up in Potomac and is a graduate of Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda. He graduated from Boston College in 2007 with a bachelor’s in management. In 2013, Jones moved to San Francisco and worked as a consultant for accounting firm EY, according to his LinkedIn online profile listing. He returned to the Washington area in 2016.

Additional facts in Jones’ bio: The contestant has bungee jumped and skydived, despite his fear of heights. He is “currently re-learning how to play the piano.” And lastly, he is an avid Polaroid camera user.

The new season of “The Bachelorette” will premiere at 8 p.m. Monday, May 13 on ABC.
