Cheeburger Cheeburger to close by the end of December

Cheeburger Cheeburger, a fast-casual national chain of burger restaurants, will close its only Montgomery County eatery by the end of December, a company representative confirmed Friday.

The chain serves burgers, fries, salads and shakes, among other menu items. The restaurants are modeled after 1950s-era diners and sell merchandise such as T-shirts.

The Rockville restaurant is in the Fallsgrove Village shopping center in the Shady Grove area.

A goodbye celebration is scheduled at the restaurant for Dec. 14, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.

Ding Tea opening Rockville store

Ding Tea, a chain of Asian tea shops based in California, is opening a store in Rockville, a representative with the Rockville store confirmed Friday. He said the store will open in a couple of weeks.

According to the store’s Facebook page, it will be at 785 Rockville Pike.

Ding Tea serves flavored teas, milk teas, fruit juices and hot drinks, according to its website. Teas are all $3.50 or less.
