The local Washington, D.C.-area pizza chain &pizza will add another Montgomery County location in downtown Silver Spring this winter, a company spokeswoman confirmed to Bethesda Beat.

Katie Case, a spokeswoman for &pizza, wrote in an email to Bethesda Beat on Friday that the restaurant plans to open this winter. She did not provide an exact timeline or any other details.

Source of the Spring reported earlier this week that &pizza has signed a lease for space on the street level of the Central apartments.

&pizza is a quick-serve concept. Customers order their pizza from behind a counter and watch as toppings are put on it, and as it is goes through a conveyer belt oven. Customers can order specialty pizzas or create their own.

The chain’s Montgomery County locations are in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose development, downtown Bethesda, Gaithersburg and Germantown.
