Noodles & Company, the fast casual chain that features international noodle dishes such as Pesto Cavatappi and Pad Thai, has secured a spot in the former Ri Ra space at 4931 Elm Street in Bethesda. An October opening is planned.
The new restaurant will comprise about 2,600 square feet—approximately half the space of the former Irish pub—according to Noodles & Company executive vice president of operations Phil Petrilli. That size is typical of the chain’s other restaurants, according to Petrilli.
This will be the sixth Noodles & Company for Montgomery County; the Colorado-based chain has more than 300 restaurants nationwide.
Ri Ra, a popular Irish pub chain with about a dozen other U.S. locations, closed in September, after the owners decided not to renew their lease. A new Ri Ra opened in Georgetown shortly afterwards.
