More Than Java Café, a fast-casual restaurant that serves breakfast foods, sandwiches, salads and smoothies, is opening its third location in Maryland and first in downtown Bethesda.
Tabitha Clark, the café’s owner, wrote in a Facebook message to Bethesda Beat on Thursday that the café would be “opening soon” at 4907 Rugby Ave.
The Brightview Woodmont assisted living facility is at that address.
The restaurant will open inside the senior center in October according to Mary, the senior center’s concierge, who declined to give her last name. She said Thursday that the restaurant is under construction and will be accessible both from inside the building and the street when it opens.
Most sandwiches are $6 to $8, with breakfast items a few dollars less. Coffee ranges from $1.45 to $4 depending on the type. Additionally, the café provides free wireless internet access.
Clark opened her first More Than Java Café in Laurel in 2015, as reported by The Baltimore Sun.
In June, she opened her second location and first in Montgomery County near Westfield Montgomery mall.
Clark wrote in her Facebook message that she a 1989 graduate of Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School.
She could not be reached for comment Thursday morning.
No one at either of the first two locations of More Than Java Café had more information about when the new shop would open.
