Mexican restaurant plans to open in Bethesda

Liquor license was approved last week

The New York-based fast-casual Mexican restaurant Mexicue is planning to open early next year in Bethesda, according to its founder.

The restaurant announced over the summer that it would take over Gusto Farm to Street at 4733 Elm St. in Bethesda.

Last week, the Montgomery County Board of License Commissioners approved a liquor license, Licensure Manager Jocelyn Rawat wrote in an email to Bethesda Beat.

The restaurant plans to open early next year, founder Thomas Kelly wrote in an email to Bethesda Beat on Tuesday. He did not have an exact date.
