The Little Beet Table in Chevy Chase is temporarily closing until next year due to the coronavirus pandemic
The gluten-free restaurant Little Beet Table is closing in Chevy Chase until next year due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the restaurant’s website.
“We can’t wait to pick up where we left off in 2021” a message on the restaurant’s website stated. The website did not provide additional details.
Aric Sandoval, formerly the restaurant’s general manager, told Bethesda Beat Thursday morning that he and the restaurant’s staff of more than 10 were let go last week. Sandoval said everyone was laid off, as opposed to being furloughed.
Sandoval said it’s possible he and the other staff members could be hired back if the restaurant reopens. Asked whether he thought the restaurant would reopen, he declined to comment.
Little Beet Table opened at 5471 Wisconsin Ave. in November, joining its counterparts in New York City and Greenwich, Conn. The New York and Greenwich locations are open, according to the restaurant chain’s website.
