Flor de Luna, a Latin American restaurant in North Bethesda, is closing permanently on Friday.

The restaurant announced the closure on its Facebook page Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant posted that it had a five-year-contract that just expired and it’s possible that the business could relocate.

Jorge Goicochea opened the restaurant at 11417 Woodglen Drive in 2016 after previously working as a business partner at La Fogata Restaurant in Silver Spring and selling his stake there, he told Bethesda Beat at the time.

A man who answered the phone at the restaurant on Wednesday said Goicochea was no longer associated with the business and said the current owner of the restaurant was on vacation. He declined to speak with Bethesda Beat.
