Lao Sze Chuan, a Szechuan Chinese restaurant based in Chicago, opened Tuesday at 20 Paseo Drive in North Bethesda.

Lao Sze Chuan’s menu features chef’s specials such as spiced chicken and duck feet, spicy Szechuan boiled fish fillet and deep fried chicken with scallion and fried garlic. The seafood section of the menu features lobster with fried garlic and chili, crab with garlic and chili, and Kung Pao shrimp.

The menu has chicken, pork, beef and lamb sections, in which entrees are prepared in a variety of ways, such as orange chicken, sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork, pork in garlic sauce, Hunan beef tenderloin and Kung Pao tenderloin.

The menu has a section with vegetarian entrees, as well as rice and noodle dishes.

Most items on the menu at Lao Sze Chuan range from $15 to $30. The Peking Duck costs $88 for a full set and $48 for a half set.

Lao Sze Chuan announced in May that it would be opening in North Bethesda in the space formerly occupied by Brio Tuscan Grille, which closed in 2017.

Service at the restaurant was busy Tuesday evening. The dining room is large and open, with a somewhat high ceiling. There is a bar in one section of the restaurant.

Lao Sze Chuan is open only during dinner hours, from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
