BRIO Tuscan Grille, an upscale Italian restaurant chain, closed its North Bethesda location.
The restaurant’s last day was Sunday, an employee said Monday morning.
BRIO Tuscan Grille had opened on 20 Paseo Drive in February 2012 and served pasta, salads, flatbreads and other Italian specialties. Operated by the Bravo Brio Restaurant Group based in Columbus, Ohio, BRIO Tuscan Grille has dozens of other locations nationally, including restaurants in Annapolis, Baltimore and Tysons Corner.
The closing was first reported by local retail blog The Store Reporter. The blog also reported that Pie 360, a fast-casual, build-your-own-pizza venture, last week closed its Rockville location under the Galvan at Twinbrook building less than five months after opening. It has locations in Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
